Derma Elements - Soy Isoflavone Extract 5ml 12 pcs

zzgl. 22,50 € Versand

Brand from United States: Derma Elements. Improves skin quality via hormone-balancing A hormone is a chemical released by a cell or a gland in one part that sends out messages to affect cells in other parts of the body. Research has proven that hormones and our immune system directly affect the quality of our skin. As we age, hormone secretion decreases and hormone imbalance leads to skin aging. Soy isoflavone extracted from soy beans is a natural hormone, also known as phytoestrogen. Soy isoflavone can be absorbed by human bodies, hence repair damaged cells, restore skin firmness and resilience. At the same time stimulate collagen production and improve fine lines. Soy Isoflavone Extract is very similar to human estrogen hormones. It is especially efficient in improving problems like imbalanced and insufficient female hormone. It effectively improves skin quality and back tracks the youthful radiance and resilience. Best for: Aging and sagging skin due to imbalanced hormone How to use: After cleansing, apply 1 to 2 ml over the whole face. Massage with palm in an upward circular motion. Use every morning and evening.

Derma Elements - Fullerene Extract 5ml 6 pcs

Brand from United States: Derma Elements. Reduces melanin formation, whitens and anti-oxidizes Fullerene is a form of carbon molecule consisting of 60 carbon atoms discovered in 1985. The founder has been awarded the 1996 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Highly resembling the works of architect Buckminster Fuller, the chemical is named after the artist as a sign of tribute. In 2010, fullerenes have also been detected in outer space. Therefore there is inference that fullerenes possibly provided seeds for life on Earth. External hazardous substances such as UV and stress will generate free radicals in human bodies. Excessive free radicals harm our healthy cells and stimulate oxidization, resulting in skin aging problems such as wrinkles, dullness, or even inflammation. Fullerene is one of the best antioxidants, which research found that its anti-oxidative ability is 172 times more effective than vitamin C. It is a football shaped molecule that acts like a spinning magnet with arbitrary magnetization. Absorbing free radicals through the molecular layer during high-speed rotation, shielding the skin from oxidative damage. Fullerene Extract directly deal with skin oxidization, which is the source of skin aging. It effectively reduces melanin formation, promotes dermal cell growth and collagen production. Hence improves fine lines, skin dullness and sagging, restoring healthy and beautiful skin. Best for: Dull and tired skin How to use: After cleansing, apply 1 to 2 ml over the whole face. Massage with palm in an upward circular motion. Use every morning and evening.

Where Does All That Food Go? (eBook, PDF)

Most of us eat (or incorporate into our bodies) quite a bit of stuff that does not look, act or function even remotely like us. Unless our food mysteriously disappears inside of us, this must mean we change its molecular structure in some way. In fact, we are constantly modifying our molecules through chemical reactions, which together constitute our Metabolism. At any given moment, we transform (metabolize) millions of molecules within our bodies, building new ones, breaking down others, and exchanging them with the world around us. Metabolism is much more than the reason you gain weight when you overeat, it is a process that is so central for life that it defines what a living being is. We will explore what metabolism is, how these chemical reactions that constitute Metabolism are organized and how they are regulated (including the effects of hormones). We will follow the transformations of each type of nutrient (carbohydrates, proteins and lipids) within our bodies and cells, from the mouth, through our intestines and then within the different organs in our body. We will discuss metabolic and evolutionary reasons why so many people today struggle with excessive weight gain, and why some (rarer) people find it hard to gain weight, even when eating large amounts. We will also discuss changes in metabolism with diseases such as diabetes and heart attack, as well as conditions such as exercise and aging.

Planktonic Diatoms as Indicators of Water Quality
38,89 € *
ggf. zzgl. Versand

Phytoplankton are free floating microscopic plants that constitute the basic component of the aquatic food chain. Diatoms are members of phytoplankton. Diatoms occur in almost all aquatic environments and are abundant in most. They are sensitive to changes in water quality and many taxa have well developed optima and tolerance. Due to their short cell cycles they are able to rapidly colonize new habitats causing changes in their community representing rapid response to environmental change. Diatoms response time is a useful intermediate between immediate and infrequent physico-chemical sampling where rapid changes can result in ecological significant fluctuations. Diatoms are limited in their movement between habitats thus either do well in the environment where they are found or they do not hence many species are more likely to be found in habitats with specific physical and chemical parameters. Diatoms are being increasingly advocated for as biological indicators as they respond strongly to environmental changes and integrate responses to a range of pollutants in water bodies over different time scales and can be used to compare relative water quality changes from site to site.
